Following Own Entity’s furnishing of a model apartment at 211 Elizabeth Street, they were hired to do the interior design of this one bedroom apartment. This project was both architectural and decorative in scope, in order to customize the space to fit the client’s needs. As a continuation of the building’s existing architecture characterized by classic French doors, herringbone wood floors, and articulated windows, Own Entity’s design for this apartment introduced several new architectural elements such as crown moulding, an embossed ceiling treatment, wainscot paneling and built-in bookshelves in the Living Room, a custom platform bed in the Bedroom, and a built- in upholstered banquette in the Kitchen.
The selection of furniture and lighting compliments the architecture, to make this young West Coast couple’s apartment feel lived-in and personal, even if only for a weekend’s stay.
